The surface really is full of cracks. Collects dust like you would not believe and does not clean easily. It is also very fragile as the cracks go all the way through. Dropped mine on grass from about 8 inches and it dented. It didn't break and I kept for a while until it was just too dirty. Looks awful any time there is pollen in the air.

Great colors and iridescence. There was a small dent in the globe but it wasn't a complete break so hopefully it won't effect its durability.I've had other globes like this that have lasted for years but their colors will fade bit. However, they're so beautiful it's worth it.

It's definitely giftable. Having gazing balls that were damaged during stormy weather, I gave it 4 stars for durability and sturdiness.

Very nice piece for a sculpture I made. Note the outside mosaic has a rough crackled finish. Rain water stains aren't a problem, but otherwise a little difficult to clean. Build quality has exceeded expectations so far.

This gazing ball is absolutely gorgeous. I love all the colors it has going on and they change depending the on the lighting!! The ball came well packaged from shipping. I did notice one blemish on the ball which I attached. It feels and looks like an afterthought shard of glass on the ball. Other than that it’s perfect and very beautiful.

The globe is heavy enough to feel durable . The colors are lovely. When the sun hits it you see lots of beautiful colors reflected off the surface. The texture is a little rough as the outer material is made of tiny pieces but that only serves to make the colors better and more reflective. I gave it to my friend for Christmas. He loves it and so do I.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how nice this gazing ball is. It is not gaudy, but rather calming as it sits by a big rock in a bed of vinca. The price was reasonable and it appears well made.
