I make beaded jewelry as a hobby and when I saw these crimp beads I decided to get them.I had never seen anything like them before and I had to do internet research to try and figure out exactly how to use them. I never did find any explanation but I figured that you stick your string or wire through the hole and then you push down on the little metal piece that's sticking out from the rounded piece. So that's what I did.I find it very difficult to push down on that column of metal into the crimp portion but it did work! And this crimp looks kind of nice on my jewelry. The crimps are nice and shiny and look a little bit more intentional than a crimped crimp tube or crimp bead. It held onto my jewelry wire very securely.I did a quick price comparison on some other sites, one of which is known for its low prices, and the price for these crimps seems to be very good at the time I got them - $9.98. This is a far higher price than crimp tubes, but these crimps are nicer looking.

They are a much bigger charm then I was expecting... but definitely will work for my projects.

I'm super happy with this set. I make a bunch of beaded jewelry, but don't work a lot with cords. This set is a great way to start. It has three sizes in each of two colors. The gold is a little more on the yellow side than I normally like, but I'm ok with it. I was initially concerned that the lid came completely off but I LOVE that it slides over to only have one wedge open at a time. As a clumsy person, this is going to save my future self a lot of clean up from bumps and spills!
