Basically identical part to the OEM one. If you have a BMW, then you have lots of plastic. Lots and lots of plastic. Plastic, especially plastic that heat cycles, has coolant or oil running through it, or is otherwise exposed to the weather will eventually deteriorate. This is one of those parts. This part is a high-quality duplicate of the original BMW part. For something like this, I don’t have a problem using duplicates. It is easy to switch and if it fails, it’s not a big deal. I don’t like to use non-OEM for mission critical parts or parts that are hard to install. If you monitor your engine bay regularly, then this should be a good part for you.
