About Trim and Tilt Units
The tilt and trim unit allows you to optimize the performance of your boat by adjusting the angle of the engine, which, in turn, adjusts the boat’s running surface. The ability to tilt and trim your engine improves boat performance under a wide variety of conditions from smoothing out a rough ride in heavy seas to reducing draft in shallower waters.

The Trim Limit (TL) Switch is located on the left side of the gimbal housing. This switch permits only a limited amount of outward trim travel to provide safe control at high speeds and prevent damage to drive unit or trim cylinder due to lost side support of drive unit.
The Trim Position (TP) Sender (also known as Tilt Limit Sender) is installed on the opposite (starboard) side. If not equipped with a trim position gauge, an empty and unmarked housing is installed in place of the TP sender.

Very disappointed right now, on my fifth trip out with the boat, my trim guage at some point went to full UP, Trim sender potentiometer failed. Initial installation also had an issue where the needle would jump I should’ve known right there something wasn’t right but I eventually found down and locked it in .After inspecting the innards of the trim center I found water had intruded into the potentiometer area. I installed these senders in may, and they have already failed!

This is an exact copy of OEM product but another brand and made in China . I’m not a fan to buy copies stuff but this was a great move taking all the risk because I just want to replace the inside disc sensor and guess what?Work 100% for all boat owners with the same Til and Trim problem please do the same all this sensors are 100% reparable.

Solid construction but it does not have screw terminal connections on the bottom like the factory original. So as to not pull outdrive to run wires I had to cut wires and solder the connections. Also appears the indicator taper is not the same as factory but it seems to work.
