Regret not getting stainless years ago for my Chevy Tahoe. Replace your OEM hardware if you live in the rust belt and ever want to have access to your fuel pump without having to cut your fuel tank straps to drop the tank. Save yourself the headache & extra costs down the road.

After finding out that one of my gas tank straps broke, I decided to do the repair myself. When trying to remove the bolt that held the strap, the nut broke away from the weld, or keeper that held it from spinning. By using a crow foot 15mm tubing socket and a tiny folding ratchet, I was able to hold the nut still and remove the bolt. This bolt and keeper worked perfect. I used these parts o a Chevy Avalanche.

It wasn’t quite like the original part, one of the bolts and retainers worked great, but the other wouldn’t quite fit right and I ended up having to go buy another one.
