The controller seems well made - all the buttons and sliders work smoothly - but the instructions book is poorly written and I have no idea how to start using this machine. I can only hope that all the electronics and programming are doing what they are supposed to do - but my lights fade out unexpectedly and the sound responsive features sometimes seem to be totally random ::: probably because I haven't set up all my individual fixture (dmx lights)settings properly??? Repeated viewings of YouTube lessons are slowly, slowly helping me to figure the basics out. Steve, who offers umpteen videos on the "Learn Lizard" site make the most sense to me.

1st one arrived with something broken inside the light controller, sent replacement & worked like it should.Found that the buttons shake on it when u move it around or carry itI was unable to use all its features because some don't work with certain lights and although it has alot of features not all of them work for every product. Sometimes there's a little delay with faders and certain light patterns/ signals. Not very easy to understand. It's a basic light controller and it does work but don't expect every feature to work with every light, has limitations depending on your lights and channels. If ur looking for a basic light controller and don't have alot to spend and need one, this is the one. Works for what I need it, I just was expecting a bit more. It still works for me and what I need it for

So insanely hard to figure out. Mine didn't come with any instructions at all. This would not save any scenes. It would completely crash when I would try to save e anything making me have to reset everything each time. I cussed it more than I had anything good to say about it. It did change colors and brightness, but nothing else for me at all. Would not buy again.

Sliders and buttons seem sturdy. Solid clicks on the buttons. Programming seems to work well, though I'm definitely using it more as a manually PAR light controller. We played with everything except setting chases. Pretty solid for the price.

Okay, the manual stinks. I am always amazed that these Chinese companies cannot spend a few extra bucks to have someone who actually is a native English speaker to review the text. But now to the controller, as a programmer myself I really appreciate all the functionality that is built into this little device. You can set up simple scenes, easy. You can set up banks of scenes, more complex. Then you can set up chases to play back the scenes in sequence and you can control that chase by MIDI or panel sliders or finger taps. You can buy this device from many vendors, including a 'name brand' product that costs twice as much as this one, in any case I think they are basically all the same except the silk screening on the panel.Nifty device particularly for the price.

So difficult for a beginner to use its very time consuming and tedious you have to set every step there's no good auto mode so unless you want to spend 4 days trying to figure out how to make it work because the directions aren't any help buy something else
