Totally useless as 5/8” shaft collars. These measure .688 ID… far too loose to tighten down on .625 shaft.

I ordered this 5/8" clamping collar as a stop for the rod on my spotting scope. Fit and finish is good and it works well.

I was seeing the hole in my hitch receiver starting to get egged because the hitch pin would move around while towing our travel trailer. Time to find a fix. I came across this clamping collar and ordered it up . I installed this on my locking hitch pin at the end where the bend is. Now, if it moves the collar will contact the hitch receiver, and no more egged out hole fron the angled portion of the pin hitting it ! Nice collar, machined out of stainless steel to match my hitch pin. Mine even had a stainless allen bolt, not the black bolt pictured.I was so happy with this, I ended up ordering a second one for my other trailer hitch.
