Unlike an ordinary ball check valve that works with gravity, this spring loaded ball works well like ordinary ball check valve in both horizontal and vertical positions. It is better performing than spring loaded disc check valve.

The check valve is plastic. Shouldn’t have any corrosion buildup on it.
