As a veteran of the dime store lightweight plastic hula hoops from decades ago, I've come to love the new fitness hoops with the weighted ball that flies around and has LEDs and a noisy tram with wheels. I love them, but they aren't exactly like the old-school hula hoops, so I wanted to try one. This one has quite a bit more weight and heft than the old ones did, but I'm having a hard time keeping the momentum going. It's also got a full neoprene outer covering, which I hoped would help keep it from sliding down as easily. No such luck. And the neoprene creeps a bit, doesn't stay even and smooth. At this point, the majority of the exercise I'm getting from this consists of picking it up off the floor to try again. You'll definitely feel it hit your legs and ankles on the way down!It is easy to assemble (and disassemble), sturdy, the sections snap together securely. It's probably operator error that keeps it from working well, I look forward to seeing how other people are doing with this! There's a video in the listing showing someone doing a few rotations with this, so I'm sure it can be done!
