We were so impressed with the sound and volume of this drum that we ended up using it in a live gig recently. It might be inexpensive, and it might not have a natural head, but my gosh does it cut through the noise, with a lovely tone. It just rings out, pure and deep.This would be great for reenactment situations or in a drum circle.Quality is much better than expected.

I had a dance camp where we were teaching about rhythm and Irish music. I was surprised by how well these work! It even has some tonal variation when playing it as a bodhran. It’s fun to play and it’s holding up well.

For 12 bucks, this thing is a major surprise in sound and performance; just goes to show that really good drums don't require outrageous materials to produce great sound. It is SO lightweight that it almost feels like one is about to break it while playing it. I've made a number of drums, starting from felling the tree and scraping the hide for rawhide heads, as well as repaired and reheaded many - although I don't fancy myself a drummer by any means, so I know my way around them - this one is quite impressive; I have cymbals from a tambourine I'm pondering adding into this one, it's a pretty straightforward process to do so. We'll see, for now, we're just playing it.

Very nice quality drum but they didn’t include the stick 🤦🏽♀️
