If you buy used pc parts like powersupplies this is a very basic must have. It saved me from getting scammed on an msi psu that caught fire! Destroyed the tester but it got the scammer who was trying to sell it to me to leave and I didn't get possibly destroying much more in parts

It is what it says it is, saves me time testing PSU's. Good price, came next day.

These little testers are a must-have for PC work. I've been a tech for nearly 40 years. You can't beat it for the price, it takes all the guesswork out of troubleshooting power issues.

I was able to check and verify the PSU I got is working fine. Do be aware if you have PCIe 8 pin that is 8 pin only, not 6+2, it will not fit. The 4/8 pin connector is only for motherboard power and not for PCIe power. You need to use 6+2 with 2 pin detached and off to the side, or a 6 pin only version to test PCIe power properly.

I bought this to test an old gaming computer power supply. It worked well however not something you use often.

Great tester to make sure things are working before going any further.

It worked fine to check a power supply. It was not obvious what orientation to plug the SATA power connector in. It is unclear how to read the power connectors other than the 24pin one, but it seems to just show LEDs indicating the presence of the different voltage lines (it doesn't read the actual voltage like it does for the 24pin connector), and there is probably supposed to be a caveat (in the non-existent instructions) that you must test one such connector at a time. Also, the seller shows a picture of the aluminum case version but I received a plastic case version (I don't think they differ other than the case).

Bought this to test if a power supply was damaged from a motherboard VRM failure. It does the job - the connections are straight forward, the display is easy to read, and there's an audible beep if something is wrong. It's a little unintuitive. There are three LEDs, one for each voltage, but these *only* light up if a Molex (12V/5V) or SATA (12V/5V/3.3V) cable is connected. It will also beep if the "power supply good" (PGS) signal is close to 100 ms, even though 100 - 500 ms is a valid signal. And since many modern supplies self-test faster, that may give you a false negative.Mine also arrived with the display scratched out of the package. Not great, but it doesn't affect the functionality. On the whole, it does what it needs to do. The power supply I needed to test ws fine, and I was able to reassemble the PC without issue.

The ATX part worked OK but there were no instructions and no indications of how some of the connections should be used.
