I love everthing about these swing hangers but I worry that the bearings will not be long-lived. I am using these to hold up an outdoor hammock, and thus the weight limit is not really being tested. I was very pleased with how quiet these swing, but I am concerned that the use of a plastic bushing will shorten the lifetime. The swing hangers I am replacing used ball bearings, and while they needed oiling, they lasted for many years. These are better in all respects except for my concern they will not last as long. Using a plastic bearing is rarely a good solution for long-term viability.

My porch swing was hung with screw hooks but the previous owner had some custom mounts made where 2 square holes were cut in my porch ceiling. When they moved they took the mounts with them leaving the holes. I've been meaning to make my own but not gotten around to it and saw these. with this all I need is a piece of plate and I'm set vs having to fabricate from scratch!
