I REALLY like the sending unit and gauge as a SET- no need to worry about mating resistance ranges. This is a versatile sending unit- it can be adapted to a wide range of fuel tanks. Installed in the spring- still reading accurately and reliably.

The unit worked but not accurate had to remove a lot of plastic to let the float move to show all full and check all bolts and nuts was missing all nuts on sender to tank bolts other than that was a great buy !!!!!!

Terrible product! First boat ride, the unit fell apart at the weld and is now floating in the gas tank. Can't retrieve it due to a 2" hole in the tank which is built into the boat.

I ordered two of these gauges. The first one read 80 percent at full. After about a dozen uses on my countertop testing before installation, it would no longer register. Nothing, dead.I ordered a second unit, and it behaved in a similar fashion. It read maybe 90% instead of full. Both gauges did seem fairly accurate close to empty, and this is where it really matters the most, but nevertheless you expect the gas gauge to be accurate at both ends of the range. The light on the 2nd gauge did not work at all; in fact, lightly tugging on the wire to join and the inners came out of the gauge and that probably killed it. There's just no quality here. A light tug on a wire should not make the thing fall apart. Also, on both gauges the operation was not smooth. That is to say the mechanism would bind at some random point between full and empty.Pretty sad for a brand-new gauge. I ended up ordering the sea choice brand, which runs about $30 and sold here on Amazon. Everything about it was much heavier duty, although it doesn't come with a gauge.Like most things today you get what you pay for, and this is another fine example of a substandard item from China. Saddens me as the concept here is good. They give very accurate instructions to adjust for whatever tank you have, and overall it's pretty simple to hook-up. If they would just backup some of these ideas with quality materials, they would really have some decent products.Steer clear of this one.

I installed the gauges and senders on a boat with translucent tanks. Easy install, but the tank over 3/4 full reads just over 1/2; the tank with about 1/4 reads empty. I adjusted the sender and float lengths per directions. Is there any way to adjust these? After a day on the water, starboard tank went from full to just over 1/2, but gauge stayed steady at 3/4. Not very useful, am I missing something? Also, screws wrong for plastic tank, had to replace them with shut metal screws.

The picture in item descriptions clearly shows a fuel gauge mount but item is not included, returned and reordered as I thought it was a mistake again no mount! very misleading and ended up ordering mount separately to complete the job. Otherwise would have been a 5 star rating
