Great replacement for the gauges on my nitrogen regulator used in HVAC. Much more accurate than the gauges it came with.

Oil filled vacuum gauges are rare nowadays. This device will give me the lab level results monitoring that I need.

UPDATED Review. I tried to turn my filter on in late April 2019, just 2 months after the 1 year purchase and the first time turning the pump on for the year, the gauge no longer works. Their Customer service team on amazon didn't help much, did not even offer me a discount on a new one. I called their 800 number and they said they's send me a new one as a courtesy and it never arrived. They claim this gauge has 'premium materials' but it is just as 'durable' as the cheap ones you get at the pool store. Same "replace once a year" gauge...I bought this for my Pool Sand Filter, the Gauge is working pretty good [So Far]. I also had the same problem as another reviewer where I tried to remove the rubber stopper to release the "pressure to reset the gauge" and the rubber tip broke off and I couldn't use the gauge as I need to mount the gauge on its side so the glycerin would leak if I had it flat. I called customer service and the girl was very helpful and sent me over a more improved rubber stopper with a brass pin that goes in the center (free of charge). Now all I have to do is remove the pin, let the gauge reset to zero and replace the pin. Keep in mind that you DO NOT have to always reset the gauge, you do it only if the hand does not return to zero when your pump is off. I will update if this gauge fails but seems it is pretty solid.

This 2 inch vacuum gauge is perfect for my vacuum chamber. It works great. Depending on how accurate you need to know the vacuum it is necessary prior to each use to relieve atmospheric pressure. You do this by gently pulling up the rubber plug on top of the gauge and reinserting it. For most of my usage that level of accuracy will not be required. With my inexpensive set up I can draw down to and register a little more than 29 inches of vacuum.I recommend this gauge.

Worked just well. Since this pump is not always utilized it is still interesting to observe the reliability of this gauge. Yes, I would recommend the item.

Works great, I have it mounted to an oil less vacuum pump, and the oil damps out all pump vibration, stable, accurate readings. and fast delivery. Excellent for vacuum bagging.

This gauge works perfectly, and is much better than the air filled version. If you're wondering whether you should spend the extra money for oil filled, trust me and go for it!! I had an air filled unit, and had constant issues with it, it actually had a slow leak that I was never able to fix. In addition to which it had a plastic face, this one is glass, and it just feels more substantial and better built overall.I'm sure the air filled one was fairly accurate, but this thing really gives me the peace of mind to know exactly what the vac pressure is inside my chamber. No more needing to flick it to get a reading!Super easy to install, use and read, even if you've never done it before. Just don't forget to use either thread tape or pipe dope and keep it only on the threads, don't get any on or in the small hole in the bottom of it.

Great gauge, accurate and needle moves smoothly without any jerkiness common with non-oil filled gauges. Using with a Gast diaphragm vacuum pump to vacuum pack food items in canning jars with a . Note: the photo is not the actual item but a pressure gauge. The vacuum gauge looks similar but 0 Hg is on the right side and 30 Hg (max) is on the left so the pointer moves counterclockwise as the Hg increases.
