Install cables on the cable drums - 3 Steps

STEP 1

Attach to top of garage door cable drum - Slide cable with crimp end to the notch of the cable drum.

STEP 2

Winding the cable around the cable drum, start from the higher portion.

Attach to the Bottom Lifting Brackets - hook cable's loop-designed end onto the small knob of bottom fixture.

Measure and get right hardware

Measure garage door height and find right cable length and drum for the project. Blesseras carries winding tool, cable, drum, and torsion spring.

  • Yes! These galvanized steel cables (1 pair) work perfectly with torsion spring systems & cable drums for smooth lifting. Measure your garage door height for the right fit. Safety First!

  • No, these cables are designed for torsion spring systems with cable drums. Extension springs use separate safety cables with special hardware to connect to the rails. Look for cables with 3-hole metal hardware for extension spring safety.

  • Heads Up! Extension springs system for the same door height often need longer cables and extra hardware compared to torsion springs system. Double-check your cable length requirement and ensure you have existing hardware before buying.

  • Measure your garage door height! Here's a general guide: 7ft door: 8.5ft cable / 8ft door: 9.5ft cable / 10ft door: 11.5ft cable. These cables run along a track from the bottom to the top of the door, so they need a bit of extra length.

  • Cable drums sized by door height (Up to 8ft, 10ft, etc.). Find compatible cables after choosing your drum. Replacing drums requires pair of "winding bar" for safety. Make sure you have all tools before starting your project, safety is always first!!

Very strong and durable cable. Easy to put on and exact fit on my 7 foot door. Id recomend you to watch a few vedios to give yourself a heads start.

Works as described, the length was perfect. Great value for the money and looks to be of high quality. I easily installed with no issues. I do recommend these door cables when yours fail. Mine have been in use on a 11' insulated door for several months not one issue.

Was a perfect fit! My old one in the pic just about gave out. Beware of other sellers on the lengths as I bought another that would say it fit a 8ft door but the cables were about 117 inches long and would have too much slack unless I was able to adjust the drums
