Seems to moisturize my dogs pads but makes her pads slippery on LVP floors. Not sure if it protects her pads so much outside. Smell is light, which I appreciate.

I live in a snowy climate and this balm is very effective in treating my dog's rough paws caused by the wintry weather. However, I only gave it four stars because it does not apply smoothly as the waxy consistency tends to "bead up" quite a bit when rubbing it onto my dog's paws. But I like the ingredients and it's a great value so that's not a deal-breaker for me.

Easy to apply. I’m a little baby girl noses. Haven’t done the paws yet but I’m sure they’ll be fine.

This is great for cracked paw pads! I'm really pleased with it. My one-year-old corgi has rough paws, especially after playing in the snow, and they tend to dry out quickly. It can be a little messy, but that's to be expected. The scent is quite similar to men's Old Spice deodorant—it's not an issue for me, but downfall is the scent is pretty strong.

This paw balm was a great purchase. I've never bought anything like it before, and half wondered if it was really needed. Well, It was! My 3 dogs; 2 dachshunds and 1 chihuahua live in Washington State, we can get up to 110 degree summers at least 1 or 2 weeks of that temperatures and -20 degree winters with harsh winds. Their paws weren't horribly cracked or bleeding, but I definitely noticed the difference when applying the balm and after applying it consistently. I wish I would have taken before and after photos. The smell is great, and although this product is ok for the dogs to lick it- mine didn't seem all that interested, which is nice. I also didn't notice any residue of this balm once applied on them transferring to furniture, blankets, clothing, etc. Which was an added bonus. I highly recommend this product. Also another great use to this product, is applying it to the tips of my Dachshunds ears as they tend to dry out, especially in the cold winter air. My female Doxie has longer floppy ears and she tends to shake her head often, the ends of her ears sometimes will break open and bleed. Since getting this and applying it to the tips of her ears, this problem has stopped!

Neither my girl or I can get on with the rosemary smell which is why I knocked off a star.Highly recommended.

Arrived quickly.Minimal packaging.Easy application.Not sticky or gluey like.Absorbs well and easy to rub in without much effort.Spreads well so not allot needed, therefore, will last a fair while.Combats dry paws effectively and promptly, leaving them feeling hydrated and moisturised.This pet balm is packed full of goodness, delivering some key ingredients to aid your pets paws from extreme weather and harsh conditions.Love that it is Natural Lick Safe too, as this is always a concern when deciding on products, that don't always clarify this. Great paw balm, highly recommend.

I have two cats, one of which is particularly stupid - he's a ginger cat and it's not his turn with the brain cell at the moment..,. he will eat anything. A couple of times this has resulted in trips to the vet, so I'm very cautious about what products I'll use on him!Many supposedly 'cat safe' products contain ingredients that aren't safe if ingested in larger quantities, and the product makers label them safe based on the assumption that if it doesn't taste appealing to cats then cats won't ingest much of it.I'm pleased to report that this product does appear to be genuinely and fully cat safe! Ingredients and notes:- carnauba wax: non-toxic and generally considered safe for cats- coconut oil: generally safe for cats, excessive ingestion can make them sick if they're not used to it. It is possible for cats to be allergic to coconut oil- beeswax: safe for cats- shea butter: safe for cats- rosemary extract: rosemary itself is safe for cats to eat and extract is safe in moderation, excessive use can cause irritation to skin and eyes- vitamin E: not toxic but excessive quantities can interfere with vitamin K activityso from the above, the only things to be aware of are potential allergy to coconut oil and potential problems from excessive ingestion. But as with any product for your pet it's best to look out for any signs of allergy on first use, and if you're using a product like this really often or for a long time it's best to consult your vet to address the underlying cause of the symptoms you're trying to address.After looking up all those ingredients, neither of my cats seemed to mind it on their paws... they took notice that I was touching their paws but didn't lick at the balm or anything - typical! I've used it for a few days on a paw pad that was a little rough and it does feel smoother. Seems to be a good product.

I make shoes, and with all the machines and chemicals I use, my hands suffer.I noticed this and was attracted by the tin at first, it looked just like a traditional tin of shoe polish. Looking through the description, I realised it was made from very good ingredients, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Caranuba Wax, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, and Vitamin E.These are all good for leather and hands, so I thought I would give it a try. Using this might be good for the leather, and my hands...The wax is good, quite firm and good for my purposes. Testing it on leather it works well, moisturising and giving the leather a sheen. I don't polish it off, it's better to leave it to do its work, and it protects from water and chemicals. Also, it's colourless, so it works well on coloured leather, many I use are bright colours.The good news is it's good for my hands too, it's not greasy and doesn't cause irritation, plus it protects them from the chemicals I use without irritating them. Normally my hands suffer from the ingredients, but not with this, so it gives my hands a rest.I love the tin and label that attracted me to it in the first place, it looks classic and vintage. The tins are 6.5cm/3.5" diameter.Of course, I can't recommend you use it on your hands, but since it has no chemicals or additives, I'm comfortable with it. The ingredients are very good, so even if you get some on your hands you don't have to worry.The price is fair for the quality of the ingredients, and I love the presentation, I'm sure any dog would be happy to have it!
