Shiny piece of plastic. Good length and wide enough to keep drainage from house. Comes with plastic pegs to keep it in place. No attachment to down spout necessary. I previously used a long plastic tube that was good at dispersing water further away. One day this winter however, ice built up and compl blocked the flow down the spout. This should eliminate that issue. When you’re looking at these make sure you check the length. Some are shorter.This is pretty sturdy plastic. Hard rubber might have been better. Anyway, I expect this to last at least a couple of years.

These extensions work as they are intended. They go together very easily. Seem to hold up well in the rain.

We have clay soil and these were still so easy to install. The previous ones that came w/ the house flew away during a storm and these have not budged in all the time we've had them.

I love the price - half the price of stores or even other vendors on Amazon. They come in two pieces you have to snap together, and it is no problem at all to do so - they firmly snap together and have posts that you can insert to anchor them in place in the ground. Half the price and work just as well. I love them

Rain through the gutters were wrecking havoc in my yard. These helped prevent the holes and directed the water away as needed. So easy and simple. Buy, set them down and be done. Easy Peezy.

We bought this for our gutter spout outside, but it wasn’t quite long enough for what we needed. It does however work perfectly for our rat cage! They adore being able to run up and down it, and the accordions make it easy for them to get a purchase with their feet. Certainly not what it was meant for, but we like it just the same.

This can be used on 3" or 4" downspouts, and it can be long (stretched) or short (compressed). You can add a few holes in strategic locations if you wish to spread the water around. This is true of other manufacturers' flexible drains, but this product is nice to look at and feels strong and easy to stretch and compress with tidy results. And at a good price, too!
