Tested these with our keyfobs and they work for preventing any transmissions while in the pouch.

The key fob for my Chevy Volt has a “feature” whereby if I press and hold the unlock button for several seconds the doors will be unlocked and all the windows will be rolled down. Every so often I will go out to my car and find it unlocked and all the windows rolled down. I assume this occurred because I leaned against something with the key fob in my pocket and unintentionally activated this “feature”. Or maybe it was from my cat jumping onto my lap. One morning I went outside to find all the windows down and the car full of snow. Short of ripping out the unlock button on the key fob, this “feature” cannot be disabled. I ordered this Faraday Pouch so I could keep the key fob in my pocket and not worry about my car unlocking itself and rolling all the windows down at an inauspicious time. I verified that I must remove the key fob from the pouch in order to start the car and thus assume the windows will remain up with the key fob in the Faraday Pouch. The pouch is large enough for the key fob but small enough to fit in my pocket.

I tested it with my car key fob, and it actually blocks the signal. If the fob is out, I can unlock the car with the button on the door handle. When the fob is in the pouch, pressing the button does nothing. This pouch is very useful if you park your car outside and hang the fob relatively close to the front door. Some advanced car thieves have been using signal extenders/cloners to pretend that the fob is close to the car, allowing it to be opened and started. If no signal is transmitted, there’s nothing to clone. It’s also useful if you need to store/hide the fob near the car without letting it unlock. Sometimes you go to the beach and can’t bring the fob into the water, so you hide it under the car. Without this pouch anybody can just unlock and start the car.

This works exactly as intended. I tested it out by putting both my wife’s me my car keys inside the bag and pressing the buttons. Even right up next to the car, the signal did not get to the car, so the bag blocks the signal well. I wish it was a little bigger so I could fit my entire key set inside, but for now, I just have the fob in the bag and it’s working well.

Works perfectly. My keys aren't able to be detected by my car inside of this.

Bit bulky, very effective but ...I was hoping that my fob would work in my pocket when I was next to the car (vs. from 100 ft away), unfortunately this is not the case, key needs to come out every time to open / lock the car. This was meant to fix my phantom trunk opening, unfortunately it's like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut ...
