I recently bought a two-person blind for deer hunting and on our first trip out, it rained. These are perfect for toting in with our chairs and keep the bows at the ready right in front of us. They came with some camo fabric tape that helps to cut down on noise while placing the bow in or taking it out of the holder. They easily push into the ground with a simple step on the post, even in dry ground. They hold the bows very stable, even with added weight of quiver, arrows and stabilizers. Very happy I picked these up.

As other reviews mentioned, I could see how this may not want to stay in soft ground well, but as long as the ground you're hunting isn't too damp, you should be fine. It's pretty hefty, so you have to put a decent amount of weight to get it in the ground (on dry soil), it would probably be a little easier if the "spikes" were tapered more, but it will be a nice addition to my blind set up.The camo tape is a nice addition, I'll use it to keep from having my bow rub on the metal arm.

This twin pack of powder coated metal (steel?) bow stands for use is the field is an excellent value for the money. The first thing I noticed is how carefully the maker packed these two metal stands. Each piece was well wrapped both pieces where held together by 2 or 3 zip ties and then further wrapped and taped together to ensure that they would not bang against each other. The solid tube metal forming this stand is very heavy duty and all powder coated. Despite the excellent packaging there was one minor spot that had some of the power coating rub off. That section I will recover with the liquid plastic. The top of the stand where there is a “U” shape to insert your bow is covered with a thin soft plastic vinyl-like sheath to additionally protect your bow when it is inserted. The only issue I had is that, the bottom of the metal stakes that you will push into the ground, are cut flat, then powder coated. In softer soils pushing this into the ground will not be an issue. The stand’s design lets you use your feet and leg to press down. In firmer ground a pointed tip at the ends of the stakes would help. This bow holder had no problem holding up my heavy cast compound bow. The total package includes sticky camouflage tape to wrap the bow stand. I’m very happy I got this. In the photos I pushed this into my garden where the soil was neither compacted nor dried up.

I got these bow holders to use in a popup blind. I think they will work out very well. The metal seems decently thick and strong. It's certainly not flimsy. I set it up with a Mathews VXR, equipped with stabilizer and back bar. I don't know what the total weight is, but it isn't light. The bow holder held it very well. With a few gusts of wind, there was a little bit of flex back and forth, but it was never unstable. There is a rubber coating on the curves to protect the limbs of the bow. This is just like almost every other bow holder on the market (e.g., treestand bow holders). I'm not sure if the rubber coating will hold up after a few hard freezes, but it will be easy enough to apply to some shrink tubing if needed. The package included a self-adhesive camo wrap / tape. I suppose you could use it to add a little bit more padding? Maybe to cover up the bare metal of the peg? I don't think it's necessary, but it's there if you want it.The ground stakes appear to be long enough to get a good anchor in the soil. I am slightly concerned about how this thing will fare in soft soil. I think it will be fine, but I can imagine a situation where really soft soil might let this thing tip. I will definitely update my review if there are any problems. For now, I am very satisfied.

These work well for both target shooting and ground blind hunting. In the harder soil I have used them in held good, but in softer soils the spikes may be a little short.

I got this for my son who is an avid archery hunter and he likes it. He has some ground blinds so this really comes in handy.

For $17 you get two of these bow holders (plus a little camo tape, which I'll probably never use.) These things are very sturdy and should last. They are only 15 inches tall, including the spikes that go into the ground. So they hold the bow at a good height for use in ground blinds. The rubberized coating on the upper part of the device is pretty thick and should be gentle on the bow limbs. I wouldn't use these for shooting practice because they are so low to the ground, but they should be great for the blind (where I'm always laying my bow on the ground and then trying not to step on it.)
