Securely mated a tailpipe that should have been welded onto the back of the muffler. I didn't have to take my car to a welder.

I’ve used other products similar to this and these by far are superior. Others I’ve lost from bolts loosening up or rattling out but not these ones. Great quality and performance will definitely buy theses again and recommend them a million times over

These work really well for exhaust clamps where you want to be able to take things apart later on. the u-clamp style bends the pipe and makes it hard to remove. These just grip the pipe and come off easily.I got a couple of different brand of these and although they look identical these didn't tighten up as well. One of them wrinkled the steel when I was tightening rather than clamping flat. It seems to have sealed up just fine nonetheless, but it has a noticeable wrinkle. One tip I have to give is to tighten both sides of the bolt evenly. If you just righten the bolt head or just tighten the nut on the bolt it won't center the aluminum bar thing correctly and it will bind on the pipe. It has two bolts per clamp so you want to tighten both bolts evenly too.At first after tightening just the nut while holding the bolt head with a wrench on the other side it didn't seem to tighten up. I realized it was binding and tightened the bolt head while holding the nut and it snugged up like it should.Would recommend for exhaust work where you want to be able to take it apart later.

The clamps allowed me to connect my new exhaust so that I can easily remove the exhaust, if I need to.

These are mid-grade exhaust clamps. I like the step-down design and the stainless material, although the bolts appear to be zinc plated steel and I-blocks are aluminum. The clamp is stepped, but the I-block is not, which may allow for a leak. The clamp walls are thin. Understanding that the exhaust piping will be inserted into each other and this clamp simply holds the joint in place, the wall thickness is sufficient and helps flex to the contour of the exhaust piping. As another reviewer mentioned, take note of the orientation of the I-block when assembling the clamp, the wider flat edge is away from the exhaust pipe, while the thinner rounder edge goes inside against the pipe. Overall, this is a good lap joint clamp set for the low price point.
