I ordered these for a purpose totally unrelated to their intended purpose. I have mounted them horizontally to each other so that I can make a rack to wind an outdoor extension cord on.These are MUCH larger than I expected. They appear to be well made and plenty strong for any helmet. If they hold up for my purpose…they should last forever holding helmets, hats, etc. Thanks!MY PERSONAL COMMENTS:I am an approved Amazon Vine Member. In my crowded motorcycle shed I have never had a helmet hook.This one is not metal - yet quite strong in the design.I really like having my helmet off the floor, or not on a shelf where it can get knocked off.The hook to hold a jacket below the helmet is a plus.
