Excellent product for use in an air conditioning system. I removed a section of the existing ductwork because of the long runs and 90-degree bends and put this vent in the opening. It significantly improved the efficiency of the system.One thing that I like about this vent is that it has a wide collar that can be inserted into the opening. The flexible wings on the collar expand and firmly grip the inside of the duct when twisted and make for a tight fit. Because of that, it doesn't take any tools to install. Highly recommend.

Purchased for air conditioner under the bunk in my camper van to vent ducts into the living area. Purchased duct reducers separately elsewhere. These little vents are just what I wanted.

We used this to cut in a vent into our soffit for a bathroom exhaust fan. It does what it’s supposed to do but quality could be a little better. It doesn’t fit perfectly tight and I noticed that the 2 i received aren’t exactly the same depth under the little wings to hold to soffit.Also, if you keep the screen in it makes a horrible whirling noise into the exhaust fan because the air gets too trapped. If you remove the screen it’s quiet as can be. I took the screen out and hope flies won’t get in. It’s doing the job but could be have a better more snug fit. I would probably buy it again though.
