My son is super picky with his parakeets. While I thought this would be fun for them, he didn't like how much room they take up. They are larger than I imagined. He has a tall cage and his birds don't play at the bottom very much. I thought this could motivate them to take more advantage of the rest of their cage. They didn't show any interest in them, so he removed these from the cage. I think they'd be better for an outside of cage kind of play, but that's just based on my son's birds. These are super nice, though!

This pack of 2 was great for our parakeets' cage. We hung one rope as-is from the ceiling of the cage. With the other rope, we stretched it out slightly and then hung it horizontally from one side to an adjacent side of the cage. This gave them a sort of fun path to follow. These ropes are made of strung wooden beads, and the diameter of each bead is only about half-inch. This makes them great for budgies, parakeets, and finches, but I believe are too small for larger parrots.

I got these for my pet rat cage and they are so cute! They're very colorful and I love that you get 2. They're durable and easy to clean as well as sturdy for my pets. These are great to give them something fun to play on and run across!

These are exactly as described, and a good value for the money. Good size for small to medium birds (lovebirds to cockatiel).

I recently bought a bird playground and wanted to hang this from the playground so my two male cockatiels would have at least two ways up to the top perch. The older bird is going on 28 years old and he doesn't fly very much; sometimes the younger one bullies him so having two routes up and down is best. The playground is new so the birds just haven't gotten used to it yet, and I think that is the only reason they aren't playing with the bead spiral. Both of them have been on it once or twice, but they got off it quickly. I think the beads are a bit uncomfortable for their feet. They have the cotton birdie boings and get on it all the time. I think they'll get used to this one, but I don't think that it is something they will sit on and relax for periods of time. The wooden beads are chewable and once my senior bird realizes this he'll be okay with the product. The product seems well made but I do worry with smaller birds that their toes could slide between beads and get pinched. For larger birds, I don't think this is really strong enough to support them without sagging a lot. If your bird doesn't like perches that move or sway (or swings), this is not the toy for them.

I have 2 African Grey Parrots. I wanted a bungee for their cages so they can climb up and down. Not that they need a bungee to do it but I wanted something else they could climb on and chew. When this set came across my Amazon Vine feed, I decided to order it.I usually make the toys that I put in my bird's cages. Not because I have disposable time, but because they are expensive if I buy them already made.Whenever possible, I do try to order toys for my parrots via Amazon Vine program to save me some time.I wasn't sure if this would be ok for my parrots since they are larger birds. There are 2 types of African Grey's. Congo's and Tinmeh's. My Congo is bigger than my Timneh so I was concerned her claws would be too big for this bungee, however, it works for her.Usually, whenever I introduce anything into the cage, they steer clear until they get familiar with it.To reduce stress, it's a process. I'll bring something into the room away from the cage and let them see it for a few days then I'll start moving it closer and closer until it goes in their cage.I walked to the cages with these bungee's to see what, if any, type of reaction I would received and they were both ok so I installed them in both cages. My Congo (pic 2 & 3) but has since warmed up to it.If I were to make these myself, it probably would have cost me at least $10 each. If I were to buy them from the bird store I frequent, they would be $20 or more each. The fact that I received 2 for under $20 is a steal. These bungees are good for African Grey's or smaller. I don't think they would be good for larger birds such as Macaws. They are made well and work perfectly in the 2 cages and don't take up a lot of room.I usually have a bunch of toys in their cages and I didn't want anything to interfere with the toys. They are only in their cages when it's bedtime or when I'm not in the room to supervise their out of cage playing, especially they are both flighted and can get into a boat load of trouble. My Timneh is good but my Congo can be a tool. These bungees are great. I can shape it to however I want and it holds it's shape. I had to stretch them out a little so they went from the top of the cage to the bottom. They're working perfectly.I definitely recommend.

i like ropes for my breeders (we make sure things don't fray though) because they cause birds to be hormonal, in our case this is a good thing a couple times a year. :) these work perfect for that!
