A regular c- clamp would work , but this is lighter and smaller to handle

I picked these up to use one for stop on my miter saw extension. A little bit unusual a use, but ideal for how I constructed mine.

I have two kids under two years old and I needed something to keep them from pulling the lamps off the end tables. The lamps have a flat base so it works perfect to keep them from grabbing it.
