I bought this as a safety backup to link between my dog's collar and harness since she gets pretty wound up around strangers. A few years ago she even broke a D ring off her harness, so I've overcompensated and over prepared ever since.We decided on these metal links type over the other types because we thought it would be stronger.We gave one of the chains one test pull (not even hard) and one of the links popped right open, splitting the chain into two pieces, rendering it useless. Very unfortunate because this could have been a great backup safety item for my hyper dog.

Using this to attach training collar and vest for safety. Works great. Length is perfect.

Not a lot of strength in them. Once a dog pulled them and they came apart.

I would not trust this as a back up clip, at least not for a large dog. It did not last and broke the first time it was used.
