I wasn't really sure what to expect from this. I have used diatomaceous earth powder, and in more recent years diatomaceous earth "stone slabs" and have been happy with it as a product consistently. This, however, was a new application for me. I was unsure how well this would work for a toilet plunger that might have some left behind residue or odor.When I got it, I was pleasantly surprised that it was even nicer in appearance than I had expected. It needed minimal assembly, which consisted of screwing on very stout little legs and came with extremely clear directions (with pictures) to do so. I ce assembled, I put it in the bathroom, and tested it by swirling my plunger around in the toilet to get it wet as if I had used it, and placed the wet plunger on the plunger mat. I was pleased to see that it worked wonderfully to absorb water and dried relatively quickly. I was still concerned it might start to hold odor so I have waited to post my review. I am thrilled that it was not an issue and after a lengthy review period, it has worked well consistently, and has not retained any potential odor. It is a great size for any standard plunger to sit on with room to spare, and given that this type of product will last a VERY long time if it is handled appropriately, it is a fantastic value for the money. I would absolutely purchase again if I broke mine, or possibly for a housewarming gift, or something along those lines. I highly recommend this plunger mat, it is well made, every possible issue has been thought of and taken care of, works great, and is a beautiful addition to your bathroom decor!

I ordered this on a whim, thinking how different is this going to be? Not an often-used tool in this house, but when it is, I almost want to just throw it away and start over. But with this stone drying mat, you aren't putting the wet plunger back in a plastic cover to get smelly or moldy. This mat allows everything to dry naturally. And it's easy to clean off if needed.

I bought one of these and may buy two more. Still testing since I have not used the plunger much and storing on the stone drying mat. So far so good. Seems to dry quickly. I wet the plunger and sit on the mat to see how it holds up.
