Ok to start this is for a 2001 Polaris 325 Magnum.So the first set I bought on Amazon came with the ball joint puller tool YOU WILL NEED IT! They don’t pull easy but the tool gets it done. These ball joints are held in with the interference fit and a retaining plate on the bottom. so i got the old ball joints out and went to put the new ones from the kit in and i could just push them in by hand NOT GOOD. this did seem to be a common problem with Polaris aftermarket ball joints. at this point i was considering using Loctite bearing and sleeve retainer but thats just not the right way to do it. then i found these ball joints and people were saying they had to be pounded in some even complaining they were too tight, so i gave them a shot. well these are the ones that WORK! yes you have to pound them in but thats GOOD. couple of things 1. these ball joints don’t have the hole for the grease fitting on the spindle, neither do the revised Polaris replacement ball joints 2. Dont try to pound these in with the grease fitting still in the spindle, all you’re doing is trying to compress the air behind the ball joint. pull the grease fitting and get the joint started then give a shot of WD40 in the grease fitting hole THEY WILL GO.i used a 6 point 30mm impact socket and 4lb hammer and did them on the machine on a lift. it takes some healthy swinging but thefit and fit very well.

Product was slightly oversized making installation difficult. And i understand what a press fit should be. Also 1 unit came with wrong size castle nut. OEM castle nut wouldn’t work so im now using a nut i found in our shop.

They fit as they should. For anyone that doesn't know, it's alot easier to put them in the freezer overnight. It helps to minimize any damage if u don't have to exact tool to install them. The freezer and a 24mm socket worked for me just fine.
