Each thermometer has a plastic sheath and pocket clip. For use in most applications, you unsheath the probe and monitor. Temp range is 0-220 F, so it will let you know if something is frozen or if Armageddon is upon us and the planet is melting. I expect good performance under normal operating conditions though.

This order arrived today. I requested, and received, return authorization. This is supposed to be a two item set, only 1 item was in the box even though the label on the box said it was a set of two. This is the second time in a week I have had to return orders because they were not complete.
