OK… the Rockville family requests a review in its package insert. Tell you what… an absolute pleasure! The SS28D that I recently purchased may be the very best value in speaker stands on the planet! Easily comparable to stands that are 3 or 4 times the cost. Extraordinarily solid with an attractive dark finish. Of note is the texture of the wood stands themselves… an inner pressboard of some kind (?) that is both strong and solid yet, I suspect absorbs vibration. Comes with a variety of accessories as well (rubber feet, carpet spikes, absorbent pads… and even a few extra parts). If possible, I’d give them a 6th star. Makes me curious what else Rockville builds/markets. Again, quality for the price!!! And what speaker stand seller has 24/7 customer support!! Thanks, folks!!

Easy assembly (I used the video to instruct me); excellent craftsmanship—which is necessary because of the way the base and top must fit flush on the columns. As sturdy as advertised, yet nestles discreetly into my modest sized living room. This was important to me because my speakers were custom made. And heavy. They are crafted from cherry wood and the real wood from which the speaker stands are made is completely complimentary.ALSO, the packaging is impressive. I wondered if I would need to send anything back because when it was dropped off, some corners of the outer cardboard box were damaged. Because to the care they used in packaging, that was a moot point.I am absolutely 100% pleased with my purchase.

While the holes did not line up for attaching the mid-section to the base or top, the screws were self tapping and not too bad to work with. But I had no tools to get them lined up perfectly straight and eye-balled it mostly pretty well. One screw did bulge a bit out the side, so the design is leaving a bit to be desired in terms of easy installation for a non-carpenter like me. I am happy with the stability and decent looks of the stands, and the performance is quite good for the cost. Adding stands such as these make my book shelf speakers sound so much better!

Spent a long time looking for a center channel speaker stand that would hold my 24" wide, 40 lb. center channel speaker high enough be just under the wall mounted TV. There is absolutely nothing suitable that positions the speaker at a decent height. So after much searching I found these and decided to place them side by side to hold the center speaker. They work great for that. They arrived very well packaged, and including several options for different speaker sizes, floor types, etc. Plus there are plenty of extra parts should you lose something. They assembled in minutes using a power driver and look just great with my high end audio equipment.

Very nice stands for a fair price, very sturdy and good weight to them. My SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers feel very secure on them, not concerned of them getting knocked off easily. They look nice as well, I opted for the dark wood version which matches our dark stained hardwood floors nicely. As long as they hold up I definitely recommend.

these don't look or feel like "solid wood" more like solid particle board , they look ok though, good enough until I have the money to spend on a better stand , most likely I'll go with steel rather than fake wood , also the QC isn't too good , one of the bottom plates where the spikes screw in had scuffs and marks on it , top and bottom, and one of the rings around where the spikes or rubber feet screw in was at a slight angle compared to the others , so that foot didn't screw in all the way because of that , not the end of the world, but not exactly happy about that either, they were packaged very well , and super easy to put together, about 5 minutes each stand (if that) these stands have a decent weight to them to , which is a plus

I bought these for a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers in a small home theatre set up. Easy to assemble and very stable. I intend to use some velcro to make the speakers less likely to be bumped off. I looked at a lot of options online and these stood out as being in my price target range, aesthetically pleasing and going the best with existing furniture. They don't look cheap. They were easy enough to assemble if you have some degree of experience putting things together. They are reasonably stable unless you have rowdy kids or unpredictable pets. These stands also have some weight to them that don't require adding sand or some other balast to them. I've had these a month and still haven't yet added velcro to attach speaker to top plate of stands yet. I haven't been too worried, as I live alone and it would take a pretty firm bump to knock them off. But I will do that soon for added piece of mind. I would buy these again without hesitation.

I actually had to contact the mfg of these stands. They only make 2 sizes in this model 28 and 36. When you are on Amazon the button that you push to order says 25. The add says 28. I took a chance as I needed 28 inch stands. They came today 28 inches. I called Amazon to tell them and the girl hung up on me. So much for costumer service. They look great. Easy to build. They include 2 top pieces. I needed the larger for my speakers. When you screw the bottom piece on the screws sink in like 1/4 inch then catch. I put them in with a hand screwdriver as I was concerned it went so deep. The top piece goes in a short way and catches. They include a photo thing that when you point your camera at it takes you to a video of how to assemble. Took me an 1/2 hour to do both. Easy. Great product .Update. As one person on here said they are hollow in the center. I unscrewed the top plate then drilled a 1 1/4 inch hole in the middle. Added 14 pounds of sand to mass load it. Better sound and kid/dog proof. Great speaker stand at this price point!
