This worked great on atv project. Way easier to install than the fiber style wraps. It appears that it will also hold up better than fiber wraps when used in the off road environment.

The aluminum heat shield is easily formable by hand to conform to irregular surfaces, yet rigid enough to support itself over fairly large areas with minimal fasteners. It's great for shielding around exhaust manifolds or turbochargers. It's similar to what many manufacturers use around exhaust systems. It's not a dual layer insulator with fiberglass in between, it's just a single layer of embossed aluminum. Just what I needed for tight fitting engine swaps.
