These round plastic are easy to install. They fit into the hole made by a drill type hole saw and are held in place by knobs on the side. They are used for ventilating soffits and eaves, insect cages, display cases and spice racks. Package of 6 vents.

Wood shrinks and dries as it ages, so the nominal 2" ventilation holes in the eaves of my 1981-built home are actually about 1/8" larger now and these inserts were totally loose until I stuck some small lengths of weatherstripping to the outside of the part that goes into the hole. I worry that the weatherstripping will shrink and lose elasticity in the winter, causing these to fall out, but only time will tell.
