I need to be better about reading the product description because I was looking for something magnetic (totally my fault) but ultimately I was able to use these as a type of “dry erase” board for a message|note board craft. They’re thin and durable for what I needed.

Nice pieces; I've peeled the plastic off about half of them. Edges are quite good--not burr free, but I haven't gotten scratched, much less cut. They have a nice fine finish, probably brushed.They are not quite square, and about 5 and 7/8 inch on an edge. The thickness is more than 1/64 inch (0.397 mm). I get readings from 0.475 mm to 0.478 mm.

My outdoor steps are framed in railroad ties. They are now old, so to extend their life I nailed these aluminum squares over holes that had developed.The aluminum is plenty strong but thin enough to easily pound a nail through.

My daughter gets us a picture each year of our granddaughter mounted on an aluminum plate, giving us the idea to do this for all of our grandkids and family pictures. Some of these are not completely flat, but are thin enough to flatten out without much effort at all. The edges are a bit sharp, I got a decent "paper-cut" type scratch on one of my fingers working with them. Just be careful and they are fine. The plastic covers keep the finish clean and ready to work with. Used some 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to mount the pictures we printed on ultra-glossy photo paper and they look very nice. I'm using foam double-stick squares to put on the wall, but looked at Command Strips to be able to move them - just got too expensive to do so many!We got the 6" and some 4" to mix sizes and now I'm looking for 8" or maybe 8 x 10 to add more photos now that we are getting into this!

It is not a perfect 6x6 square. If you need that precisely- you will be short. My stack came in at 5.9 inches (or 149.87mm) Nice aluminum for the price however.
