I am trying to put it to work, but I did expect it to be shipped complete. the motor was not attached to the guide rail, and no screws were provided to attch the motor. For now, no testing, just looking for the right screws.

The unit came with a few minor scratches. But more significantly, the build quality shows it is not 'Made in Germany': the black aluminium plate at one end of the rail was not at a 90 degree angle with the rail, because one of the round stainless steel rods running the length of the rail was about 2 mm too long (thus forcing the black plate out of proper alignment). I have shortened the offending steel rod and properly aligned the black end plate. The unit is working, and the sled moves without any wobbling. However, the unit is not the most impressive display of workmanship.

Purchased for some prototyping due to low cost. Over the next week or so slammed into end no less then 3 or 4 times and it kept hammering away until I pulled the power. No ill effects. Wheels adjustable. Solid. Don't know if the screw is rolled or ground but will buy some longer ones from them for sure.

I bought the 400mm version and it works great. Extra star for great customer support - my unit was damaged during shipping and the seller sent replacement parts quickly and at no charge.Regarding other reviewers who report the carriage as "loose": you just need to adjust the four bearings on the carriage for a close fit. My unit even came with the wrench needed to make the adjustment.Overall very nice product.

Solid, tight tolerance and no wobble on the mech. It uses a 6 wire stepper and has mountings for M6 screws.

I bought 100 mm for a Z axis first. After I got it I decided to replace x & y with the same type to open up work area a little more. The rails are about 1¾" wide instead of the 4" wide slides I had.. So far so good. The only issue I have is I don't see a grease fitting. Otherwise its actually better than I expected. A couple loose bearings were an issue until I figured out how to adjust. I just swiveled the loose ones until I felt a little bit of drag on each... Made from good quality materials & the finish is nice. All in all if they hold up for a year they're worth it.. only 4 stars because of there's no instructions for adjusting bearings & the lack of an accessible grease fitting.

Bought this to replace the Z axis screw on my plasma table. Price was right but as others have stated, cheaply made with high tolerance. I hooked it up anyway but it allows for a 1/16" play in all directions. Ergo, cuts can be off up to 1/8".After running it for about 3 days screws started falling out. I ended up taking it off, putting blue loktite on all fasteners, and then putting it all back together. It did help considerably. Play is now at max 1/16". Still, if you need semi-precision do not use this unit. It's okay but better made products aren't much more, spend the money and skip this one.

I did not realize it was this big. The NEMA 11 stepper motor that came with the assembly was too heavy for my robotics project requirements. For something with a 3-4" travel, it thought it will be a little smaller and lighter. Anyway, I'm using it not for its intended purpose so I'll have to perform a workaround. Other than this, it works okay.

it is more stable then I thought. I used it to cut aluminum panels. It should be easy to modify from Nema 17 to Nema 23 if you had 3D printer. CON have to make extra block to hold my 500mw spindle.
