- The Wu Lou (Calabash) in its original form is a fruit and when dried was traditionally used to store medicine or water which is is how it got its name “giver of life”.
- The shape of the Calabash was replicated into brass (metal weakens earth) by Feng Shui masters many years ago in order to absorb the negative energy of the bad luck stars.

It is a cute keychain but as you carry it around the little ball on the bottom with the little note on the inside will often just fall off.

Pretty sturdy and nice keychains. Gourds open and have a prayer inside. Although one gourd almost came apart which I discoverd as I was taking keys out of my purse. Helps to check it and make sure its good and tight. Hard to see where it joins which is nice.

These are too cool. Well weighted they give me a sense of calm as I leave the house feeling luck is on my side. Exactly as pictured, these lucky little medallions are exactly what I was looking for. And yes they unscrew and yes there is a lucky tiny note inside! Simply elegant and adorable.
