I had looked up the item/model number on the whirlpool website, as well as looking at the number on the light I removed from the freezer. Please be careful, as the first time I ordered the wrong model, although it looked exactly the same and had similar numbers. The connections are not the same.Once I got the correct ones, we popped it in to the light in the freezer and everything lit up as it should. Way cheaper on Amazon than purchasing it through whirlpool or a repairman.

I purchased this light with hopes my husband could replace it and it worked! All the lights in our freezer and fridge came back on. I seriously saved myself $150 having my hubby replace it.

Although the description states it replaced my OEM part it does not. The emitted light color is NOT THE SAME. This one is a light blue where the OEM is white light.

Upper lights in my fridge were out and saw a video that typically its the freezer light causing it. Replaced it and now all lights work. Easy to install, took about 15 mins. Need to remove freezer tray and use flat head screwdriver to pry old light out. Plugs are the same to make it easy.
