  • 🍀Good Water Circulation🍀 -The plant holder is littered with slits and holes to ensure that water can flow through the roots of the plants to create good water circulation. If your aquatic plants are newborn or small, you can put some pebbles or fine gravel at the bottom of the holder to keep them stable, which works better for aquatic plants that like to bury their roots.

  • 🍀Suitable for All Kinds of Aquariums🍀 - Two ways to use, it can be hung stably on the edge of all kinds of aquariums (thickness less than 0.8 inches/2cm), or attach it to the aquarium glass by installing suction cups, suitable for rimmed aquariums and rimless aquariums. It is more adaptable, beautiful and stable than other types of aquarium plant holders. It is perfect for pothos, bamboo, lotus, daffodils, water poppies and many more aquatic plants.

Love these for growing terrestrial plants in my open top aquarium. I previously was just reusing an old net pot from ordering aquarium plants online to start Spiderplants and Broadleaf Arrowhead bulbs in to suck up the extra nitrates in my tank. These purpose-built holders are much sturdier!I especially appreciate that each holder comes with 3x different pairs of brackets to fit whatever your tank looks like. I ended up using the medium length set with perfectly holds it in place on my cheap Aqueon rimmed tank with zero give. I imagine the short pair would be great with rimless tanks as well.Do note, these are bigger than I expected from the photos. A single one easily holds two large S. Latifolia bulbs for example and is just about the maximum size I can fit in a 5.5 Gallon. I don't think these would fit in anything smaller but would work just fine in larger tanks.

These little aquatic plant hangers arrived very fast and was packaged very well for shipping. Upon opening there was no damage found, and all the pieces were exactly as described in the listing. There are several different size hangers to install on the plant hangers to fit a wide array of aquariums. The quality of the plastic used for the holders seems to be very well made and sturdy. These plant holders are much bigger than I expected which was wonderful! I have pothos already growing in a couple as well as a spider plants and a monstera in my 125-gallon cichlid tank and so pleased with the results.

Admittedly, I don’t actually know the brand of my main aquarium, so it’s probably not the most helpful (bought it secondhand from someone who also bought it secondhand. It does fit Aqueon glass lids, so possibly an Aqueon? Any branding on the tank itself is long gone.). It’s 75 gallon and has a pretty wide rim. I did hang this on the front just to get a picture, so I do think some of the forward pitching might not be as bad with the lid on it, as it looks like the lid might push up against the holder. However, as I have a backstrip that doesn’t like to go on or come off, I did not test this, I just measured it.As mentioned, it pitches forward on the rim really bad on the largest size bracket. The medium bracket might be better, but that doesn’t actually fit onto the rim. So, I have to use the largest bracket. I have a cat who is an absolute menace to my aquariums, so the extra space and pitch makes me wonder whether or not it’s going to get knocked into the aquarium every ten minutes if I put it in. In my test on the front, it was relatively easy to knock it off.I also tested this on a SMALL rimless aquarium I have with the smallest bracket. Don’t have a picture for that one. It still pitches forward a little, but it does feel relatively secure. I wouldn’t be concerned about that one coming off.I also tested and forgot to photo the suction cups. Those were a bit difficult to push into the cup, but they seemed to hold securely to the side of the tank, and obviously with that you don’t have the issues with pitching forwards. That doesn’t really work with my aquarium because of the rim though, as if its low enough to finagle the stem out of the top of the tank, it’s also low enough to drown any terrestrial plants. It would work well to hold any aquatic plants.Overall, despite the issues with it pitching forward a bit, I do think these would work pretty well. They are a good size, and you can easily fit a larger plant in there, or even potentially a couple of smaller plants. The slots are big enough that the roots should easily be able to grow out of the pot eventually, and the clip slides in securely. The overall build does feel like a sturdy plastic, and it looks pretty nice as well.

Being both into aquarium and fish keeping as well as keeping tropical, exotic, houseplants, I really love when the two gobies and worlds collide. I have been clipping my plants and shoving the clippings into the backs of my hang on filters for as long as I can remember. Once the filters began getting full of plants and roots and it began creating problems, I knew there had to be a better way to go about the propagation process other than what I was doing. These were the ultimate problem solver!✅ LIGHTWEIGHT: as opposed to several other plant baskets and holders that i have tried before, these plastic baskets are extremely light in weight. although the plastic material does also feel a bit thinner, with being so light, i don't have to worry about the basket eventually falling into the tank, sliding down the wall, and otherwise just failing to stay in place.✅ MULTIPLE INSTALLATION METHODS— HANG ARMS + SUCTION CUPS: the last set similar to these, the hanging arms/hooks that were included with the baskets were not wide enough for any of my tanks. they would all be too short and not be able to reach around and cling to the rim of the tanks, and the suction cups were very poor quality and would eventually unseal and slide down the glass inside the tank. these conveniently come with two different size/width hanging arms; short and long. the short ones would be better for rimless tanks. the wider arms are suited for tanks with. rims and trim.✅ DEEP: i believe these arent as deep as the previous, popular, rectangular models, but nevertheless, they are plenty deep to allow adequate submersion of the plant and the plant roots. i love that they're deep, so you don't have to mount the basket lower just for the plants to be able to stand upright and vertical on their own.❌ WISH THE SLATS WERE SMALLER/NARROWER: the open slats all around the basket is awesome for root aeration and flow of water through the roots. however, i just really wish that the slats weren't so wide and big so that some kind of substrate could be put inside of the basket so the plants intended to be put in the baskets could actually be "planted" inside of it. however, the slats in these baskets are just too wide and too frequent that anything you put in the basket, aside from maybe LECA balls, would fall right through. it would be great if that was possible and would definitely help the plants thrive and developed healthy, stronger, root systems.◼ OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS ————————————————♡📌⤑ IN SUMMARY: aside from my chief complaint and critique of these, i actually really like these better than any other plant basket for semi-aquatic plants, out and available on the market today. these seem the most focused on the design for the benefit of the plants due to the many slats for water flow through them, being so lightweight and being able to hold so much and so deep. the arms are a great way to keep them mounted and in place and the suction cups, which i chose to use, are strong and reliable. i will definitely be using these a lot more for house plant propagation, as opposed to just a cup or jar of still, standing, water, because it really, genuinely, makes a difference in how well the cutting survives and thrives. i very highly recommend these over any others out there and they seem to really work great and function to serve their purpose perfectly. ill definitely be ordering at least 3 more sets for as many tanks and plants that i have in my house. ♡
