Almost wanted to deduct 1 star for 'lack of instructions'. I searched online for a similar product, and followed their installation directions. You'll need to carefully remove part of the rubber gasket on the roof, and clean the mating surfaces thoroughly (I used a general purpose spray cleaner, then alcohol-wipes to be sure it is clean). Be sure to get the notches in this hood aligned with the corresponding marks on the roof. Then, you carefully re-install the gasket back, sandwiching the now-adhered hood edge in place. Next, clean the inside of the upper edge of your window like before, and adhere the remaining edge of this hood to the inside of your window. The purpose of this hood is to fill the gap between the rear window and the roof of the vehicle, so that rain will not fall into this gap while the window is opened. I've had this mounted for several weeks, and the adhesive is holding well (I cleaned things thoroughly during assembly), and when I open the window during a rain storm, water is directed to the sides, and won't fall between the window and roof.

I was able to get this rain gutter attached to my 2014 Wrangler, but the double sided tape won't hold it up in the summer heat. Great idea, bad execution.

I liked that it fit as promised and it was easy to install. I also love the functionality of it.

This was a piece of junk. It is the quality and stability of cardboard. It comes all folded up so it doesn’t even straighten out to install. Don’t waste your money!

Expensive piece of fabric yet, solves a nice problem. I bought this item as well as the Japanese version (AZAuto) which costs a lot more. Maybe this one is a knockoff. The Japanese product had proper instructions with a color photo printout (albeit all in Japanese) and comes in a nice made-for-retail packaging. This item does not come with any instructions and have generic clear plastic packaging. They both are almost identical in fabric and weave and similar 'rubberization' of the opposite face. The upper piece uses 3M red tape and the bottom portion uses a white colored sticky tape on both versions. Before installation, I ironed out the creases caused from being folded onto itself twice. Figured there is a chance that this may not un-crease itself after installation. Make sure not to use too high of temperature setting of your iron or it might melt the glue/fabric; cordura is synthetic. It's important to note that the cordura fabric weaving faces you at all times during installation. In other words, when you open the tailgate glass, you see the cordura weaving. The rubberized side faces upwards towards the roof/elements and away from you. Before you start installation, do a dry run and line up the fabric piece to get an idea which section is the top and the bottom. Also pull the rubber gasket off and do a dry run again. See below. When the rear glass panel is up; it will reveal the rubber gasket there. Pull the rubber gasket off; just the top section and around the top corners. It comes off easily as it is attached by friction. This will also reveal the notches on the JK's fiberglass (and probably the JL) and is where the two notches on the fabric lines up.To install, start with the lower piece; this one has two notches towards the ends and has a white backing on the sticky tape. You are essentially sticking the white backed sticky tape onto the top of the newly exposed fiberglass such that when you place the rubber gasket back onto it, it sandwiches the fabric piece in place. Align edge to edge. Edge of fabric piece to top edge of the fiberglass pipe exposed by the temporary rubber gasket removal (closest to you). It sticks from the top to the fiberglass at the bottom and not from the bottom to the top, if that helps.During the dry run, you should be able to determine this.If you are off by an inch or less on either side, it won't matter much. The stickiness factor also allows quick repositioning.Once the lower section is fastened properly, you can work the top which is the back of the glass. You can pull it at taught as you want but I think it is best to have a little bit of give in it so it's not pulling on the fabric each time the glass panel is fully opened.Mine is still new and no rain to test yet but it seems it would work great. Let's see how it holds up through time. Good luck!

I definitely understand the need for something "like" this, but this is not what you want. There is just no way this will hold up over time. Its a low quality adhesive that will never withstand temperature extremes. It didn't even make it a week parked in the garage for 5 of 7 days. Just partially peeled off.Edges look like they were cut un-evenly with a pair of scissors and are not serged.Sorry I cannot recommend this at all. I hop to find a better product.

The fabric material is not good

This would be good in theory but the tape they use is not great and won't stand up to the hot summers. If they used 3m or something similar I think it would stay better.
