I tried using them on a 0.079” solid steel wire, similar to a gasoline mower throttle cable application, but the clamp kept slipping on the wire. So I tightened more and the clamp failed (so photo). The clamp body is not magnetic and is hard when filed, so it appears to be stainless steel as advertised but the screws are highly magnetic and most likely cadmium plated steel. The clamps are very small and I don’t see a useful application for them. I would not buy them again.

Decided to go for this product based on review ratings and the double screws. Does not work with any pressure applied to it.

Yeah I don't know what throttle cable can be double up in this thing but not my car! They are tiny!
