Anyone who works on an old VW knows how AWFUL aftermarket parts can be. I was hesitant to order this replacement switch. But I found a user on theSamba forums who compared this brand to another aftermarket switch (probably "Pacific parts" garbage) and mentioned that it seemed much better made. I bought it and it does seem reasonably well made. It fit correctly and works well so far. One small warning; this switch doesn't come with the screw-in bezel to mount it to the dashboard. You will need to save your old one.
