I'm a professional tile installer. These are simply the best and easiest benches out there. SOLID if installed properly.

Works perfectly as long as you aren't a moron and mount it to a foam type tile backerboard. It's a bench. Needs to be attached to framing or use provided hollow wall anchors into cement type backerboard.

thought this would be harder, but pretty simple. I was remodeling down to studs, so I used hardyboard directly behind seat to max security. use deck mud mix, simple...

I was planning to add a shower bench during my last bathroom remodel. My tile installer recommended this unit, so I went to a local retailer and checked out actual samples. I ended up ordering from Amazon because of cost savings. In the end, the project turned out great and now I have a sturdy and functioning corner bench I can actually sit on. I am glad I chose the larger 30" model, in stead of the smaller 24" model. The smaller one would have been a tight fit for adult. I would also recommend attaching this bench to the wall studs for safety.

I'm an intermediate DIY'er and decided to tackle a complete bathroom re-model, replacing a tub/shower 1 piece unit with a walk-in shower. Was not sure how to incorporate a seat without being concerned of water leakage, so I tried this corner seat. Upon arrival, I was skeptical as it did not look like much. I followed the directions, but more importantly, visited the manufacturer's website where they have posted installation videos - very helpful. The installation was super easy, in fact, the most difficult part was finding the right mortar mix (I used Quickrete Mason's Mortar mix), 1 bag will do the trick (50lb I think). This is a beautiful addition to the shower, the easy installation looks like a professional did the job, and it is very solid. Trust me, for under $100 this seat truly adds value to the bathroom renovation, just follow the directions and use silicone where suggested! Also, an 18" tile cut diagonally, with a 3" bull nose trim fits the triangle perfectly.

I ordered two of these for a shower remodel on a Friday. They arrived the next morning. At 3" thick, I expected them to weigh more than they did, but it is obvious that they will easily do the job once filled with packed mortar as the instructions say to do. There are 3 fasteners on each side and the holes are near the top so all of the weight is supported by the wall behind for about 2-1/2" across. This is much easier than trying to build something into the wall. I highly recommend any of the three sizes that this comes in.

I've used this product before...the 17" model.. This larger size is more comfortable...It doesn't seem to take up much more room in the shower... being an older guy,, now washing my feet while seated is not a challenge...Only complaint is that unless you put a wash cloth on the seat the cold tile can be a shock.... The installer seemed to have had no trouble.. An aside is that I had a single piece of marble rather than cover with several tiles that would require more grout lines..looks slick and perhaps it may even lessen the chance of a leak..
