Purchased and installed with the goal of reducing the RPM of my '08 TW200 at speed. It does just that. Time will tell regarding the long-term quality, but it does what I hoped it would do.

Fit on my 2023 Yamaha TW200 to help increase top end and lower high revs.

This sprocket is robust and mounted easily. Drop some teeth from the stock size added a bit to the top end of my TW 200.

This was a great choice for a few reasons. It was the same thickness as the stock chain so you don’t need washers like some other brands. Also the 47 tooth can use the stock chain and still have adjustment left for further stretching. Third, is it wasn’t a drastic change in power. I can do maybe 6-7 mph faster without the rev limiter going off, so rpm’s did drop some. It feels comfortable and like I said it wasn’t that drastic so the people that climb hills more than me won’t be affected too much. Totally worth 30 bucks in my opinion.

This sprocket is of excellent quality. Finish was super nice and smooth and made of thick heavy duty steel. I cant speak to mileage though because I swapped back to my 50T rear sprocket. I didnt figure it would kill the already poor acceleration on my TW but it effected it quite a bit. I will say though that it was way easier to cruise at 60-65 before however my top speed was just about exactly the same due to the limit of the engines power. Regardless of that though, this sprocket is very very nice and would recommend highly. 5 out of 5.

Excellent quality sprocket(same as factory) and the tooth count works perfectly for my application.

I installed this sprocket on my 2017 TW200, I did not have to shorten my chain, keep in mind my TW200 only had 200 miles on it when I did this. If your bike has higher miles there will be more wear and the chain may need to be adjusted out further or shortened. Moving from a 50 tooth to this 47 tooth was the best change I did to my TW, I do not trailer my bike to the trails so I ride distances on the streets and being able to Cruze at 50-60mph without making the engine work as hard is a smart move and makes the bike more enjoyable to ride. And this did not take away the TWs off road ability’s. The TW has a ton of torque. In my opinion this is how Yamaha should gear them from the factory. Hope this review helps someone who is thinking of changing there sprocket.

When it comes to offroad the tw200 is great and a lot of fun but as soon as you hit the town or the highway you immediately notice some major flaws. When stopping and going in town at stop lights, you are greeted with an unpleasant riding experience where you find yourself having to shift way too often. As soon as you get on the highway, it gets even more uncomfortable when attempting to maintain 55 to 60 mph and your bike is pushing so hard you think that your motor is going to blow up. After hours of research and careful consideration, I finally concluded that I need to replace my rear sprocket for a slightly smaller one. After installing this one, I must say that it helped and I would recommend this to anyone else that does any highway riding.• Durability This sprocket is high quality and made from steel, unlike other aluminum options out there. Seems to be just as durable as the original option.• PriceIn my opinion, it was well worth the money at only $27. Cruising around at high RPMs could affect the long-term life of your engine and buying this sprocket could save you money down the road by avoiding possible repairs.• Installation DifficultyI would rate the installation difficulty of this project a 4 out of 10. 1 being anyone could do it and 10 being professional install required. Keep in mind you will need a torque wrench for reinstalling the rear wheel.• Shipping Considering this item does not have prime eligible shipping it came fairly fast. It arrived in about 4 days after placing my order.• Is It worth, it does it make a difference?I would say it added about 7 mph to my top speed and noticeably lengthened all the gears. Before when turning left at an intersection I would be in fourth gear at the time of completing my turn. Now I find myself being able to complete the same turn without going over third gear.I think this is a good, useful product that any tw200 should take into consideration when owning this bike.
