About this item

  • 📌Size: 20ga(0.8mm),1.6 inch long(40mm). A hole at the big end( "No Thread Inside"). 316L Implant Grade Stainless Steel Material(sold individually)
  • 📌Function:① Stretch/enlarge hole for gauge modification purpose, gauge up size(from 22g to 20g),Good piercing hole stretch/expander kit. ② Used for assisting in the placement of shaft. Put piercing bar in the end of the pin, then push it though.Pin will come out of the hole and piercing bar will be in. Good piercing assistant tool.③ Groove at the end helps prevent slipped and cover external thread to avoid injuries while insert piercing.
  • 📌Advantage: ① More safe and smooth than acrylic taper. ② Painless and safe when piercing bar push into hole as the large end cover external thread. ③ Doesn’t irritate as our taper grow from small to large gradually.④ Reinsert/reopen a piercing hole that had shrunk "a bit" or begin to close up,Actually don't need go back to piercer.⑤ It's not as needle sharp but pointed enough.
  • 📌Tips: ① Can't fit to any threadless piercing jewelry. ② Push piercing bar through slowly to allow time to adjust. ③ Can be autoclaved and reused as steel taper more comfortable and durable.④ Go slow when stretching,or using some lubricant,it glided through smoothly and painless.⑤ Why no thread inside the hole? as your external thread bar isn't made from our shop,I'm not sure if both end threads match,so holding bar will be better.
  • 📌Insertion Taper's option with 20g/18g/16g/14g/12g/10g/8g,Please choose the size that suits you best.

I got a belly piercing about 2 months ago and really wanted change out my jewelry for something a bit smaller. I couldn’t have done it without this tool. It made changing it out so easy. It’s not huge, so it didn’t hurt to pull through then back again. This was a great choice for me.

These tapers worked amazingly for stretching my piercing from a 16g to a 14g. They are long enough that the change in diameter is a gradual one. The opened ended one held on to my barbell perfectly.

Firstly, I want to share this tip (and the reason I ordered this) because it may have saved me from a horrible injury:With the possible exception of earlobes and eyebrows (ok, I’m now re-thinking the eyebrow thing now), I strongly recommend wearing press-fit jewelry, or any type that does NOT screw in, lock in, or otherwise prevent immediate removal in case of accidents! The other day, I was exhausted, went out to my car, and…opened the door on my face🤦🏻‍♀️!!!Not my most brilliant moment, but I’m grateful- I ended up with a gushing nosebleed, but still, yay- I didn’t break my nose. I didn’t notice until an hour later that the force from my door took out my nostril stud- if it had been a threaded piece, I could have injured myself much worse- that’s when I realized that press-fit is the way to go with most, if not all of my piercings.Ok, review time! This tool is a LIFESAVER! Ok not literally, but it made my day go much easier. The last time I had to insert a press-fit stud, it involved jewelry pliers, bending my nose at strange angles, and over an hour of my time. Not fun.I ordered this tool the other day out of frustration with my klutzy experience, along with feeling too darn sore to deal with a game of “let’s blindly find the inside of my nostril piercing site again!”.I want to hug the person who invented this tool. Best thing ever. Although it’s not super easy to use inside my nostril, I had success within a few minutes. Because I couldn’t find my inner piercing site at first, I inserted the thinner end of the tool into my piercing from the outside and slowly pushed it through- still required a little bending of weird angles, but it wasn’t difficult- if you find it impossible, there’s another tool that can help if you have difficulty with this, called a piercing tweezer- I think! Or it's called something very similar, my apologies that I can’t remember at the moment!Inserting the tool from the outside helped me remember the exact angle of my piercing and helped me locate it again a moment later, when I inserted it from the inside (with my jewelry attached to the end- this is the most genius thing since sliced bread, a definite 10/10 on my YAY scale!). It did take me a second to locate the piercing spot from the inside, and yes, more weird bending of the tip of my nose, but not bad at all- it was much easier to find because remembering the exact piercing angle helped me visualize and remember where it should be.A few seconds later, my jewelry was in, I pressed in the top of my stud, and I was done! Still sore from my car door being such a jerk, but resolved nonetheless.I SO highly recommend this tool, and if using it for a nostril or septum piercing , maybe order some piercing pliers/tweezers/whatever they’re called as well, depending on the shape of your nose along with your tolerance for weird bendy angles.Lastly, I can’t stress this enough: wear press-fit or other jewelry that doesn’t lock in your piercing, at least with cartilage piercings!!!! Also, look out for car doors when you’re tired, especially if you’re klutzy like me🤣!I’m now re-thinking my eyebrow jewelry as well, and I’ll be thrilled to have this tool when I insert my next piece, which I think I’ll go ahead and order after I finish this! I’m glad I learned this one the easy way, and shared this in the hope that I can help prevent others from ending up with a bad injury- you never know when your car door’s going to take out its rage on your face!🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I had my ears pierced for over 10 years, but stopped wearing earrings for quite some time and now my holes were too tight to fit any earrings through. I ordered the 22g which is much thinner than a standard size 20g earring post. Lubed up the taper and my ear with vaseline, and with my husbands help i was able to find the hole and completely push the taper through. Very pleased that the product worked after so many painful tries of trying to shove an earring through and it just wasn’t working. Can’t recommend enough if you are experiencing something similar!

So, going back a few years, when I got my piercings, the dumb-dumb shot me a high lobe piercing, but he didn't notice he had pierced the cartlidge. And I didn't realize either until I tried to replace all my lobe piercings with cartlidge piercings a week ago. It didn't want to go through, while the others did but with some struggles. And so, I looked for a solution, and here we are. And it works!Just know, if you need this, it will definitely take some time to go through all the way and it will hurt. And unfortunately for me, as mentioned above, I have to use this on a cartlidge piercing, so... OW. The picture is as far as I could get it at first. Lucky for me, I have a high pain tolerance, but this will definitely still take me at least a few hours.Update: It took about 2 hours. My biggest issue, my stud doesn't fit the grooves of the rod. It holds it, so it shouldn't be an issue if I push it with the stud, but it wiggles and is loose. And make sure the back of the stud screws OUT of the diamond or whatever, so it can screw into the rod. Luckily, I had a stud like this.
