It does what it's supposed to do but the fire rings we've had are way to big for the legs that are on this. Wished they were longer. But if that's the only complaint I have that's good.

This came in handy when we went primitive camping. Seems to be in good construction

Used on camping trip. Folds up compact. which is important if you don’t have much packing space.. Works great. Tip. I wrapped aluminum foil on three sides. Then pushed in hot coals. Retained heat well on a very windy day.

Can store it easily since it goes flat. It's kind of low at 8" so at stock height it's more for searing or using pans like cast iron. If you can add a bit more height by stacking it on top of something or digging a hole to make a wood chamber than this thing cooks great ! Wood flame cooked food has the best flavor imo. Have used an 9 inch cast iron pan and the grate is solid.

As far as structure and design this is a good product. They ruin it by painting it with toxic paint. It takes at least an hour to burn off the paint which actually starts on fire. You have to get the metal red hot to get the paint off then you have to let it cool then you have to scrub the entire grill with a wire brush. If people are not aware of this they're going to be eating bubbling toxic paint with their food. Very close to being a great product and then they failed by painting it with toxic paint.

this is a pretty nice fire grate for the price. I like the handles, it makes it easier to loop a fire poker through and pull off the fire when you're done cooking.the folding legs were a little finicky, but once in place they're sturdy. I thought the cooking surface was pretty good size-wise, I just need to practice with it more to get a better idea of the heat distribution.overall, a decent, functional piece of camping equipment for the price!
