I like the idea, and it works, when adjusted. The lighting pilot flame is difficult for me to adjust so it stays lit when using the torch but isn’t a tall sooting flame when the torch is hung up. As much as I have to adjust, having a needle valve somewhere other than in the base of the flame where it gets blazing hot would be a great idea.

But I didn't know it existed. not just a gas saver. Time saver. And frustration reducer.

I've had one for years but left it in Pennsylvania while doing a demo. Had to buy another to use till I can get my old one back. Plus I won't have to share with my wife.lol Great product.

I do a lot of torch work, this is something I should have bought on day one. Really helps with productivity and overall torch safety. It's a little "tight" at first, so I had to counter balance the lever to open quicker and get the gas flowing sooner, and also run the oxygen a few pounds higher at the regulator and regulate at the torch for it to shut done properly. But once everything was dialed in, this thing is great. I will often cycle my torch 50 times a day, doing piece work, WOW it saves a lot of time.

My Victor 350 Series Oxygen regulator suddenly died, and the parts are unavailable, thus I can't give a true rating of the GasSaver in action! However it is amazingly heavy and seemingly well made, and I have no regrets about buying it.A really lovely piece of equipment!BACK IN BUSINESS - Having bought a new regulator, and modified the Gas Saver to hold my Henrob torch, I can now report that this is a tool that every welder should consider purchasing. Hang up your torch and the gas flow through it is cut off completely, the only gas being consumed is by a small adjustable pilot light. Remove the torch from the hanger and pass it in front of the pilot light, and you're ready to continue welding!

It works great, saves a lot of time, energy, and gas. This is my second gas saver. The first one just wore out after about 15 years.
