Haven't had a chance to use this yet, but looks to have everything I need so I can correct my "quick and dirty" wire splices in my car. Product got here quickly, was affordable and looks like it will serve my particular use-case.

This is NOT the cheapest terminal tool set, though you wouldnt know it by using it! completely useless. the metal is so soft and maliable its like its made out of silly putty. tools break in your hand after using once. TOTAL JUNK, more completely useless trash from amazon. Youve been warned!

The item was cheaper then the tool trucks and does the same as the special tools that are always missing in the dealership

Pros:- A lot easier to use than the smaller style pin/terminal extractors without handles.- Each extractor is numbered with a corresponding numbered slot in the case. This is one tool that I will actually keep in the case (mostly so I don't lose them, but also because they're not very durable).- handles are comfortableCons:- Just like the smaller type, these extractors are made from extremely thin metal and bend easily.- Some of them arrived pre-bent! I guess that saved me some time. (that was sarcasm...)- Several of the extractors were assembled with the metal inserted into the handle at a noticeable angle.- Very little (if any?) effort went into quality control. 6 out of 18 tools were either bent when I opened the box or assembled crooked. That's... not good. I'm not expecting tool truck levels of quality here, but at least make it look like you cared about making a quality product.

Now that I’ve had a chance to spend some time with this kit I realize I should have had one of these years ago. I’ve worked in and around computers along with stereo/HiFi for decades and I’ve worked with molded connectors for just as long. If you do any sort of interconnection work, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Connectors are a royal pain; having dedicated tools for pin removal is beyond helpful. Today’s high-tech gear such as PCs and automobiles are a rat’s nest of interconnected wires and molded connectors. Often the plastic housing of a connector is the problem, heat and time takes a toll, replacing the connector means cutting all the wires and reconnecting them one at a time hoping you get them all right. Here’s a solution, with this kit, you eliminate the hassle of cutting, splicing/soldering each wire onto a new connector, you simply swap out each factory crimped wire into a new housing. I’ve personally enjoyed being able to make my own unique pin-outs for custom one-off connectors. Here’s how it works, there are 23 unique tools in this kit, and each one is tailored for a specific connector, there’s a guide printed in the box for reference, but I found experimenting with various tools to be just as fast because more often than not I have a connector which is ‘close’ but not the exact one described in the sheet attached to the case. This is why I’m happy to see such a variety in the kit. Let me share this, there is a bit of a learning curve to these tools, however, far less than monkeying around with various pieces of wire and pins trying to release a wire unaided with the proper tool. Once you understand each connector you will quickly be drawn to the right tool in this kit. As with anything technical, you must understand how each connector holds the metal pins in place; this will serve you very well in de-pinning connectors. There is either a metal barb on the crimped metal part or, a barb on the plastic connector housing. The tools in this kit help release these barbs. Taking a few minutes to learn how they work is priceless and will help you in future connectors. There are quite a few different tools in the kit, probably more than you’ll need as a casual hobbyist or DIY’er, but for anyone working in the PC, automotive, or Stereo HiFi field, this kit is a MUST-HAVE. The price is outstanding and knowing you will always have the right size at hand is great. The rubber handles are comfortable to grip but the blow-molded case leaves something to be desired, I worry about the hinges over time. The case has a spot for a label on the outside top but none is there so I wrote ‘TOP’ in the space so I don’t accidentally open it upside down and spill all the tools. There is a nice sheet on the inside outlining each tool and its application.Wrapping up, I’m very glad I chose this kit, it’s difficult to describe how many times I’ve wrestled with connectors, I’ve ground down small screwdrivers, used bent-up paper clips, and monkeyed with ice picks. Forget all that, this kit will earn a place in your tool cart pronto.

There have been many times in the past when I have been working on vehicle wiring and I needed to take apart a connector to clean corrosion or when building my own wiring connectors for light bars and such and finding out I did something wrong and need to take it back apart, and I unfortunately had to use a small pick to try and get it to come apart, and ultimately doing more damage than good. This set is much nicer than those cheaper terminal removal kits that come on a small chain, and they feel much more substantial in your hand. I have yet to use this set, but when inspecting each one of the removal tools they do seem like decent quality, at least decent quality for a cheap Chinese terminal removal set. There are a few quality control issues as far as cosmetics, mainly just terminal removal ends that aren't sitting straight in the handles and the numbers not being printed consistently in the same spot on some of the tools, nothing that really affects the way you use the tool. Other than that I can't complain about them to much. For the diy guy or home garage that will use these occasionally I'd say these will do amazing and are a must have if you do automotive wiring on your own vehicle.
