I got this privacy screen filter for it's "anti-glare" properties. We just moved into a new house and the sun comes right into the window and hits my computer screen in the mornings. I have to move around constantly to try to see what's on the screen, so I thought maybe this screen would solve the problem. It really doesn't - it just makes the screen slightly blurry on the edges.It definitely has privacy features. If I move to the side of the screen I can barely see anything at all, so if you are purchasing it for the privacy option it will likely work for you. It just doesn't work for me because that wasn't my main goal.

I actually got this screen cover because a new monitor I bought doesn't dim as far as I'd like for nighttime use. This screen filter darkened the monitor nicely.The plastic tabs that hold the screen don't stick very well to my edge-to-edge monitor so I ended up attaching it with tiny pieces of two-sided, clear, stretchy tape.I don't need the filter for privacy because I work from home, but when I walk into my office, the monitor with the filter is at a slight angle to me and the screen just looks black. I have to walk all the way around and sit in front of it before I can see everything. So this filter would be great in an environment where prying eyes are to the sides of the monitor. (Anyone directly in front of it, like, say, a coworker who sits in the cube directly behind you, can see what's on the screen).

It is the right size for my all-in-one Dell computer/monitor. However, the included tabs do not stay adhered to the screen and it is a bit blurry to look at. However, it does function as describe. If you are looking at it from a ny angle except head on, you will see only black. If you are light sensitive, this is great as it really cuts down on the glare from websites and other applications that have a heavy white background.

There are two ways to install it, either applying the guide rails to your monitor and then you slide your monitor into those channels, which then allows you to remove it easily on an as-needed basis (but not the best option if you have what they call a borderless monitor). Or use the adhesive backs that you apply and stick to your monitor. Either method based on your needs and preference works well. No complaints. I work in an industry that required privacy since PII may run across my screen.

My wife has been doing more work on her hobby computer creating gifts and projects and our kids keep interrupting her and she has to scramble to close screens when the items are for presents. I have privacy screens at work and told her we should try this.The screen works perfectly as you would expect. My picture from the side is that last angle you can see anything on screen, when you go past that point it goes completely dark.so far this has worked perfectly for us, its sturdy like my office filter. No complaints from me and I would recommend it.
