Although I'm not MTG player myself, my daughter is, and she loved the thought when I gifted this set to her. She loved the color combination and raved how well she would play with these. It's nice that they included a little bag to hold them in as well.

I've had a set of these counter dice for MTG on my wish list for several years, but those were only black and white, much more expensive, and maybe only half as many dice as this, so I never did get those for myself. This set has a dozen plusses, a dozen minuses, plus a pouch all for under ten dollars, which is absolutely incredible.While they don't have the perfect high-contrast readability of black and white, the gold inking on the red & black and green & black offers good readability, plus the dice are gorgeous. I think the green of my set is closer to a medium green than the bright lime-green in the product images, and some of the marbling is more of a fish scale effect. I have some paper tokens I made to use for +1/+1 counters that I've been using for years, and these are a big step up from those. I especially like the choice of green and black for the -1/-1 counters since it's a perfect match for my deck that uses those the most.The only thing I can think of that could make these even better is if they would make them smaller than standard size dice. They could be 2/3 or even 1/2 scale and still be great at serving their purpose. Until someone comes along with a mini set, though, I'd say this set is as good as it gets.
