It's so nice to find this in such a long dimension -- it really opens up the possibilities for what you can use it for much more than smaller pieces... The swath I got was in great condition (I mean there are always stray fibers coming off the pieces of rattan here and there, but you really can't get away from that) and had a lovely, natural smell (not a weird, chemically smell like they occasionally have). I can definitely recommend this if you need a long piece for your project!

The rattan feels good and sturdy. It does not come with any printed instructions for installation however the listing does give the basics of wetting the webbing prior to installation and then wiping it down with a salt water solution for cleaning once installed. To secure the rattan, the listing recommends glue or staples. We will most likely use staples for a more secure hold. Our use will be for crafting more than building of furniture. It will add a nice decorative touch to our creations.

My cats ruined the back of one of my rattan plantation chairs and I was looking for a replacement to recaning which was costly. After soaking and cutting to fit I was able to hot glue the chair backing and it came out perfect. No fraying or unsightly seams it was easy to work with. Highly recommend this product, while it doesn’t quite match the original backing it looks good and is a suitable replacement..

I use it to decorate my furniture, tables, make them comfortable to use, the natural rattan material is of good quality and worth the money
