I experienced similar issues during the install. Right off the bat, the speedometer read zero when pulling away. Took it out, bent the bracket, reinstalled, and it was back to normal.Bend the two fingers so that, when installed, it presses more firmly on the sensor body. If you do this first, you may have a trouble-free install. This worked on a L5P Silverado with 4x4.

As the title says this fits the later year 2015 Duramax with the Allison 1000 transmission. This part fixed my P0721 code for faulty transmission output speed. Important - the bracket on this part was not bent correctly so it was pulling the sensor out of the hole on installation. I needed to reform the bracket slightly to get it to seat the sensor correctly or else it was giving me the same DTC. The sensor worked but the bracket didn’t put of the box so 3 stars.

Genuine GM Part - exact same as you'd get from the GM/GMC Parts dept.Fits the 2016 2500HD Duramax with the Allison 1000 transmission. This part eventually fixed my P0721 code for faulty transmission output speed. The part should be mounted in the retaining bracket in the same orientation/angle that original part was and needs to be FULLY seated. As the other review says - Very Important - the bracket on this part was not bent correctly, so it was slightly pulling the sensor out of the hole after tightening the bolt on installation. This kept causing me to get P0722 codes and speedometer stayed pinned at 0 mph. Then, the truck wouldn't shift out of 1st. Super important that the sensor is FULLY seated in the hole of the transfer case.I needed to reform/bend the bracket slightly to allow the sensor to stay seated fully when tightening the bolt or else it kept giving me a P0722 DTC. The sensor worked, but the bracket didn’t, and a 30 minute job took hours trying to diagnose and resolve. So 3 stars to GM for not doing a better job with the forming of these retaining brackets. I thought it was fully seated and spent way to much time diagnosing wiring, trying to Ohm out the sensor and checking cables going to the TCM (Transmission Control Module).
