In order to keep the herd from stampeding, a reinforced vario spring exerts pressure on the rear fan belt half; belt is held tighter - making it harder to slip and slide. Motor tuning without reinforced vario springs is about as successful as snowboarding in Miami.

Polini is fake China Parts, DO NOT BUY. (If you do be prepared to return)Why did you buy a Honda (GREAT BRAND) Just to fit it with "Italian named" mainland Chinese parts, that don't fit.I had to return every POLONI part I purchased. TOTAL JUNK. Mechanic for 30 years, so I know junk.Amazon is starting to push FAKE PARTS so they make more $$$. This is my 4th fake order in row (Printer Ink was last week) from a (losing faith) AMAZING AMAZON CUSTOMER.

The white spring definitely was perfect for my setup had to up my variator weight size and now I have a perfect balance of great acceleration and good top speed

I put the blue spring in my 2015 stock Ruckus, along with the Polini Variator and 5g weights. I'm 6' 2", 240lbs.. I definitely have more "zip" with the ruckus now. I have the TTO tach (highly recommend you do this first before doing anything else - cheap and easy thing to do. Knowing your RPMs while you make changes and tuning is a must ).. with the blue spring I'm getting up into the 7000-8000 RPMs way quicker, which has helped acceleration considerably. I'm going to continue to tune with different weight setups on the variator to see which is optimal, and then probably go to Dr Pulleys sliders once I have the weights figured out. The variator and weight swaps have also seemed to compensate for the change in RPMs, and I am still able to get into the 40-42+ MPH flat out on level roads. Again, going to continue to tweak with the Variator to see if that can improve, but I'm happy with that speed. Actual speed on hill climbing is marginally better with the new setup, but the main thing that improved was acceleration. much more comfortable in traffic on those busier 30MPH streets where traffic wants to really go 35 - 40 ;-) Again, the bike just has more "zip", which is what I wanted.I will say that having the clutch compressing tool will make this job much easier. I did it using C Clamps on the edge of my work bench, and while it worked, it was a bit sketchy, and you can damage the drive plate on the clutch easily doing it that way. long term if you think you will be tweaking with your clutch a lot down the road, spending $30 or so on the clutch spring compression tool would be worth it. also very helpful having the service manual for the Ruckus (I just worked off the old 2007 one that can be found in PDF online, everything is the same on the 2015 bike) for steps on disassembling the clutch and Variator.Definitely recommend these Clutch springs if you are looking to improve the low end acceleration on your Ruckus.

Had trouble getting my ruckus to "downshift" when I'd get to hills. The goal was to get my pully to have more tension so it would force the belt higher on the back sheaves. It was hard to get the belt to shift correct at first but once I got it seated right it's done exactly what I wanted. I still have to tune weight in the front to get my speeds where I want them

Came in a torn up, destroyed box. And the paint on the springs was chipped....

If you're a heavy rider or have a lot of hills to climb, this is a great addition to the Ruckus. The same hills that used to slow me to 25mph, I now climb at 35mph. I did notice a small 1-2mph decrease in top speed, but the low to mid range performance boost was well worth it. My top speed has improved after some break in time on the spring. (I run the blue spring)

Very good quality on this revised version. One the very few springs that fit properly into the assembly of CHF50 (Honda Metropolitan and the NPS50 (Honda Ruckus). I used the white spring as a mild upgrade from stock and it improved 0-30 acceleration dramatically. I'd recommend this upgrade to anyone looking for a performance increase. Initially, and after about 500 miles there has not been any adverse effects aside from 1-2 mph off the top end. The acceleration is well worth the top speed loss and can be countered with the addition of an aftermarket variator or various other upgrades or modifications like shaving the drive face or shortening the drive boss.
